The new Board of Directors of the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) has approved a reduction of 40% of its management to meet the objective of the Government to simplify and slim down its administrative services.
In a statement, the ICS has stated that the measures adopted include the reduction of the management teams of its regional managers in the Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l'Ebre, Lleida and High Pyrenees and Aran, and the removal of three corporate divisions: the Directorate of Priests, General Counsel and Associate Director of professional development.
public company argues that the simplification will also help reduce "the presence of political office" to provide health facilities greater management autonomy and greater responsibility in making decisions.
The ICS argues that the changes are driven to implement the Government Action Plan which has as "priority action" simplify the administration of the Generalitat.
The meeting was attended by Advisor Health, Boi Ruiz, which formalized the transfer of the presidency of the Governing Body of ICS Prat Josep Domènech, a Council which shall consist of 22 persons.
