"One in three English confesses that discriminate against a person for being infected with HIV, avoiding" at all costs ", the contact with these patients in different situations of everyday life, changing jobs or even moving their children to school "to avoid possible contagion."
These are the data emerging from the thesis, the perception of stigma against people with HIV: its effects and ways of coping, presented yesterday by María Jesús Fuster School of Psychology, UNED. The aim of this work, tells the author, is "to raise public awareness in building a more just world for those affected by this disease."
